  1. Software License Agreement for STUFFIT FOR WINDOWS 
  2. This is a legal agreement between you and Aladdin Systems,
  3. Inc. covering your use of StuffIt for Windows (the
  4. "Software"). Be sure to read the following agreement before
  5. using the Software. BY USING THE SOFTWARE (REGARDLESS IF YOU
  6. HAVE REGISTERED THE SOFTWARE OR NOT), YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE
  7. BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO
  8. THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE AND
  9. DESTROY ALL COPIES IN YOUR POSSESSION.

  11. The Software is owned by Aladdin Systems and is protected by
  12. United States copyright laws and international treaty
  13. provisions. Therefore, you must treat the Software like any
  14. other copyrighted material (e. g., a book or musical
  15. recording). Paying the license fee allows you the right to
  16. use one copy of the Software on a single computer. You may
  17. not network the Software or otherwise use it or make it
  18. available for use on more than one computer at the same time.
  19. You may not rent or lease the Software, nor may you modify,
  20. adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble
  21. the Software. If you violate any part of this agreement, your
  22. right to use this Software terminates automatically and you
  23. must then destroy all copies of the Software in your
  24. possession.

  26. The Software and its related documentation are provided "AS
  27. IS" and without warranty of any kind and Aladdin Systems
  28. expressly disclaims all other warranties, expressed or
  29. implied, including, but not limited to, the implied
  30. warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
  31. purpose. Under no circumstances shall Aladdin Systems be
  32. liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages
  33. that result from the use or inability to use the Software or
  34. related documentation, even if Aladdin Systems has been
  35. advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall
  36. Aladdin Systems' liability exceed the license fee paid, if
  37. any.

  39. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of
  40. California. If for any reason a court of competent
  41. jurisdiction finds any provision of the Agreement, or portion
  42. thereof, to be unenforceable, that provision of the Agreement
  43. shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to
  44. effect the intent of the parties, and the remainder of this
  45. Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

  47. The Software and documentation is provided with RESTRICTED
  48. RIGHTS. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the Government is
  49. subject to restrictions as set forth in subdivision (b)( 3)(
  50. ii) of the ASPR Rights in Technical Data and Computer
  51. Software clause as 252. 227- 7013. Manufacturer is: Aladdin

  56. The supported ACE32, ARJ and RAR compressors are not free
  57. software and must be installed separately. If you use any of
  58. these programs for compression you must register it with the
  59. appropriate vendor. The LHA, CAB and TAR DLL's are free.
  60. Expansion of ACE32, ARJ and RAR archives in StuffIt for
  61. Windows is free.

  63. SPECIAL NOTE: MulitVolume self-extracting ZIP archives with
  64. extensions .z00, .z01,..., are registered and under copyright
  65. to Aladdin Systems. Distribution of programs for revenue made
  66. with MultiVolume self-extracting ZIP archives using this
  67. software requires a license from Aladdin Systems
